Just finished the second book from this awesome writer, Wade Carey. With a very fitting title, Parables · Volume II – Late Night Breakfast: a vision of hope is the second in the series about spiritual warfare. After reading the first volume of parables, I was patiently anticipating this book. And once again I was enriched with a new story that entertained and enlightened me through every page. In my experience, it is hard to find a storyteller of this caliber and quite refreshing when I do.

I really enjoyed Reggie, the main character, a quiet unassuming mentor of faith and hope through kindness and compassion. In this story, Reggie’s character is a long haul trucker with access to numerous people and places. What a great idea for a main character – not what you would expect for this subject matter. Once again Wade Carey has written a great book with meticulous attention to detail. Which really shows. I just love the cover art, perfectly fitting for this book. I must also mention the easy flow of this story thanks to excellent proofing and editing making Parables · Volume II – Late Night Breakfast: a vision of hope really shine. This book is highly recommended to everyone. I shall be keeping my eyes open for Parables · Volume III.

Another Great piece by Wade Carey! I could not put this one down - read it in 3 days. Just so much scripture and encouragement to help you find hope - and not the kind this world has to offer, but can only be found thru a relationship with Jesus Christ. Can't wait for Wade's next book.
The book, Late Nate Breakfast, not only tells a story about Juan the trucker and his trials in life but also how the bible helped save his life. After the death of his family, his despair and thoughts of suicide weigh heavy on his mind. With the help and guidance from a fellow trucker he was able to begin a spiritual journey that turned his life around and changed his perspective on life. Juan was guided to an all night truck stop where, with the help of two angels, a menu, and Bible verses, he is able to change his life and way of looking at the Bible. How Mr. Carey wove the verses with the menu items was both interesting and fulfilling to me. This helped me interpret more about Bible verses and how it played out in my own life. It was a great idea for him to include the verses in the back of the book to reference to in the future. I am eagerly looking forward to continue reading his books and learning more about the Bible and the life of Jesus.
Truly another great book by Wade Carey! I love how he associates simple meals with God's word and inspirations for our lives.
I loved this book as well as ALL of his others. This one as the others tells such great story of what is is like to have faith and looking forward to the day we go to Heaven. It has a ton of bible references which I love . I can not wait until his next book comes out. I am going to have withdrawals until that day. These are easy to read with so much depth.
